Job Summary
House Parents (Full-time Flex Houseparents) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting, and transitioning from a flexible nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-spouse married-couple arrangement with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse (two-person) role for married couples
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth (work or volunteering)
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
