Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School (on-campus homes in Hershey, PA) for legally married couples. The pair reside in student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for ~8–13 students, including daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, and Sunday Chapel. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs., and adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus and no alcohol on duty. Both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA
