Job Summary
House Parents will be a two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparent team (married couples) living on campus in student homes to supervise and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role progresses from initial assignment to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Both spouses must complete individual applications. This position requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and prior experience with youth. The campus maintains a smoke-free and weapon-free environment with no alcohol on duty; pet restrictions apply. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Committment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
