Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and mentorship for approximately 813 students residing in on-campus homes, managing household routines, student schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and actively engage them in developmental and recreational programs while leading daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth. This two-person role requires married couples to live and work together, initially supporting various homes before transitioning to a dedicated student home. The position demands a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol permitted on duty, valid U.S. driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Both spouses must be at least 27 years old, legally married for two years, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
