Job Summary
House Parent for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person team) living on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working with youth
- Willingness to reside on campus in a two-person role for couples
Additional Requirements
- Smoke-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
