Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in an on-campus home while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, ensure student wellness, and drive students to activities. Plan and actively engage in developmental and recreational programs, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. Oversee household reporting and adhere to a schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, eventually transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Both spouses must complete individual applications to serve as a married couple.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
