Job Summary
House Parent role for married couples at a residential school setting. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines, supervise daily activities, administer medications, transport students to activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The position begins as a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. The package includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits, with two-person salary totaling approximately $168,000 per couple. Training, housing, meals while on duty, and other benefits are included. Both spouses must apply individually and meet age/marital requirements to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Ability to work in a live-in student-home environment
- willingness to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
