Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples residing in on-campus student homes to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent where the same group of students is cared for in their own home. Schedule initially consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and full housing/meals while on duty. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity and professionalism. Applicants must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
