Job Summary
House Parent role for two married adults at Milton Hershey School on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel services, oversee budgeting and reporting, and follow a nine-on/three-off duty schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same students. Includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-spouse requirement and age 27+ for both
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged on-campus residency with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Professional integrity and role-model behavior
- No alcohol on duty; campus weapon-free
- Smoked-free campus
- Commitment to relocation to Hershey, PA
