Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, full-time on-campus role providing care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a Flex Houseparent schedule (nine days on, three off) to a placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Requirements include a legally married, two-spouse team with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27+, a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and experience working with youth. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
