Job Summary
Two-person full-time on-campus role as Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and family-style living for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The position evolves from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three off to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness for relocation, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
