Job Summary
House Parents are a two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparent team at Milton Hershey School who reside in on-campus student homes to supervise approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. The position includes relocation assistance and paid training, with comprehensive benefits and a total compensation package for the couple. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, eligibility to drive student vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It is designated for two spouses who are legally married for at least two years and both age 27 or older, with a focus on youth support in a smoke-free, weapon-free campus environment.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
