Job Summary
House Parent - Full-time Flex Houseparent for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, guiding routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a flexible nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires two-person married couple; duties span supervision, transportation, spiritual activities, and household management; relocation package available. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
