Job Summary
House Parent role for married couples residing on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, student scheduling, medication administration, driving students to activities, leading devotions and chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. The position follows a nine-on, three-off schedule with a transition to a Placed Houseparent who continues to live and work with the same student group. Includes relocation package to Hershey, PA, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be 27 or older, and complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
