Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes and jointly supervise a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and opportunities for academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a rotating 9-on/3-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. The position requires a two-person, legally married couple (both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans) who can lift up to 50 lbs, work on a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty, and support the students’ growth in a faith-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
