Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning engaging developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
