Job Summary
House Parent role for married couples living on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Full-time Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of around 813 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, supervising student routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting/household reporting. The position operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule during the initial phase, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation package and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary is per person with total compensation per couple reflected in the package. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeled by staff
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
