Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The positions require residing in an on-campus student home and providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving and planning student activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and supporting multiple homes before transitioning to a placed houseparent assignment with a consistent student group. The role emphasizes creating a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development, with a nine-on/three-off duty cycle during initial placement and relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
