Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, with a nine-on/three-off schedule initially and later a transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. The role requires a married two-person team, both spouses age 27+, and a high school diploma or GED, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couple and both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age requirement: both spouses must be 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience or willingness to work with youth and in a residential student-home setting
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Proselytizing prohibited; comfortable leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
