Job Summary
Two-person married couple serves as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and transitions into a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Relocation assistance provided
