Job Summary
House Parent - Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School (MHS) located in King County, WA with relocation support to Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support; duties include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) and total compensation per couple (~$168,000), relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a strict smoke-free/weapon-free campus policy; two-spouse, married-by-two-years requirement and both spouses must be 27+ years old. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
