Job Summary
House Parent for Milton Hershey School: a Full-time Flex Houseparent role for a legally married couple residing on campus to supervise and mentor a group of students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, coordinating student routines and activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a rotating nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, two-year marriage, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications

- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pets: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
