Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School reside on campus in student homes and supervise a group of ~8–13 students, providing daily mentorship, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Chapel. The role transitions from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed houseparent with a stable student-home assignment, offering comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires two-spouse pairing, on-campus residence, on-duty responsibilities, and adherence to campus policies; high school diploma or GED required; possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans; ability to lift 50 lbs; age 27+ for both spouses; living in a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with limited dependent children.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
