Job Summary
House Parent role for married couples living on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Provide care, supervision, and guidance to groups of 8–13 students in an on-campus home, including daily routines, devotions, extracurricular planning, transportation of students, budgeting/reporting for the home, and supervision. Initially nine days on, followed by three days off, with progression toward a Placed Houseparent assignment living with the same group of students. Requires a two-person, fully committed, on-site presence with duties spanning mentorship, activities planning, medication administration, transportation, and spiritual life involvement. Benefits include salary per person, housing, meals on duty, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance; both spouses must complete individual applications.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
