Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor a group of ~813 students across on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. The role includes a transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group, and relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse / two-person role
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Experience with youth
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
