Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and mentorship for 8–13 students while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and lead devotions alongside them, ensuring wellness and structured family-like environments. Oversee budgeting and household reporting while maintaining a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol permitted on duty. The role involves a nine-day-on, three-day-off rotation for married couples, with spouses transitioning to Placed Houseparents after initial support. Both partners must be 27 or older, hold a high school diploma, and possess a valid driver's license to operate student home vans. This position offers a salary of $46,917 per person, free housing, meals, and relocation assistance at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
