Job Summary
House Parent position at Milton Hershey School for married couples. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role. Compensation includes ~$44,768 per person with a relocation package and comprehensive benefits. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, and willingness to complete separate applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple required
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
