Job Summary
House Parents (Full-time Flex) at Milton Hershey School provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of roughly 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine days-on, three days-off schedule across multiple student homes, with eventual placement into a single student home. Benefits include a relocation package, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement options, paid time off, and free housing and meals on duty. Requires high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, willingness to obtain van-driving certification, and a commitment to a two-person married spouse pairing. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
