Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, duties follow a nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing/ meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
