Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: a married couple resides on campus in a family-like student home, providing daily supervision, mentorship, supervision of routines, administration of medications, transportation for activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and handling budgeting and household reporting. The position starts with a nine-day-on, three-days-off cycle before transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home. The role includes relocation benefits and comprehensive benefits; requires high school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver’s license, with both spouses meeting age and family-size requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role (two-person team)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; capacity to lead students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
