Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and support for about 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and coordinating budgeting/reporting. The role begins on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home; relocation assistance and paid training are included, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse couple must complete individual applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading devotions and Sunday Chapel
