Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School live in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel attendance, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Role requires a married couple, age 27+, with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; relocation is provided along with paid training and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-year married requirement for both spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience with youth preferred
