Job Summary
House Parent role for married couple in Milton Hershey School's on-campus student homes; provide supervision, mentorship, and care for groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with progression to a Placed Houseparent living in a dedicated home. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires two-person, married couple with at least two years of marriage, both age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; role emphasizes Judeo-Christian services with no proselytizing. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
