Job Summary
Full-time, two-person Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for roughly 813 students, including supervision, mentoring, daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and planned developmental/recreational activities. Responsibilities include leading devotions and accompanying Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and initially serving nine consecutive days on with three days off before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with the same student group. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing/benefits), relocation assistance, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple requirement
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience with youth
