Job Summary
House Parent role for a married couple at Milton Hershey School. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a family-like home, manage routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and participate in a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with a future transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same home. Compensation includes $44,768 per person (about $168,000 per couple) plus relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and being part of a legally married two-person couple aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children; smoke-free and weapon-free campus; ability to lift 50 lbs. Both spouses must complete individual applications to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years

- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Prohibits proselytizing; Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
