Job Summary
House Parent role for married couples living on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Full-time Flex Houseparents supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a student home, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. After initial nine days on duty followed by three days off, couples transition to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role involves living on campus and serving as role models for students
