Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School, caring for a group of ~813 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role within the same student home. The position starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule and includes relocation assistance; compensation is per person (~$44,768) with comprehensive benefits and housing included. Requires a two-spouse, on-site commitment and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
