Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, legally married couple) reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule transitioning to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their home. Requires relocation assistance and benefits; includes on-site housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement for employment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking; ability to supervise and mentor youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to reside on-campus with students
- Ability to pass background checks and safety screenings
