Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent couple resides on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Duties include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a steady Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
