Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities, plan recreational events, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting, household reporting, and ensure a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development. Serve nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled time available on weekdays while students are in school. This two-person role for legally married couples (spouses 27+ years old) offers a salary of $46,917 per person, free housing, meals, and relocation assistance at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
