Job Summary
Provide daily security, facility upkeep, and supervision for teenage female residents, including pregnant youth and those at risk of sex trafficking. Assist residents with daily life skills, prepare meals, dispense medication, and manage household chores. Monitor play activities, organize recreational outings, and support children with schoolwork when tutors are unavailable. Complete shift reports, administrative tasks, and attend staff meetings. Work overnight, holidays, and weekends to ensure 24/7 coverage and appropriate staffing ratios. Valid driver's license and one year of youth experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with youth/troubled youth in an organized/structured setting
- Dependability, discretion, and good judgement
- Compassion and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working with youth in crisis
- Experience working with young children and teens
- Ability to establish effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and the general public
- Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs
- Ability and flexibility to work extended hours and be flexible with scheduling
- Willing to work overnight, holidays, and weekends to ensure appropriate 24/7 supervision and appropriate staffing ratios
- Ability and desire to work and live with teenage mothers and infants/toddlers as well as female residents in the foster care system
- Ability and desire to work with female teens who are at risk of sex trafficking
Desired Qualifications
- Training in Trauma-Based principles of care, de-escalation training, and/or child welfare programs a plus
