Job Summary
Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and document findings accurately. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the supervising physician. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide appropriate medical treatment, and prescribe medications as permitted. Perform medical procedures within the scope of training and authorization. Provide patient education on health maintenance and treatment plans. Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and specialists to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal standards. This role is designed for physicians meeting most NYS licensure requirements but not yet completing all examinations or residency. Compensation is $75,000 annually with paid time off, CME days, and a benefit package.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD, DO, or equivalent)
- Successful completion of required USMLE or COMLEX examinations (as per NYS regulations for limited permits)
- Eligibility for or possession of a New York State Limited Permit to practice medicine
- Strong clinical skills and medical knowledge
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively under supervision
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and ethical medical practice
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
