Job Summary
House Manager (RN) provides administrative and clinical leadership to unit staff and ancillary departments, coordinates hospital-wide activities, resolves crises, leads safety and bed-planning meetings, ensures patient placement and surge capacity, and collaborates with physicians and ER staff. Responsibilities include monitoring hospital environment for safety, coordinating admissions/transfers, ensuring policy compliance, conducting rounds, and mentoring staff. Requires RN license in Michigan, BSN, and strong leadership with disaster and safety planning capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the state of Michigan
- BSN in required upon hire
- Active nursing license (Michigan)
- 3-5 years of progressively more responsible hospital experience
- BCLS required upon hire
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- IS-100.HCb, IS-200HCb, IS-200.HCa and IS-700.a certifications
- NIH Stroke certification to be completed within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- BSN required upon hire
- Active nursing license in good standing (Michigan)
- 3-5 years progressively responsible hospital experience
- BCLS certification upon hire
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Stroke/NIS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 certifications
- Strong leadership and administrative coordination
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from computer systems
- Effective communication with physicians, staff, and visitors
- Disaster planning knowledge and IS course certifications preferred
