Job Summary
Supervise the daily operation of a residential home for individuals with intellectual disabilities, managing direct care staff, training new hires, and ensuring compliance with regulations and agency standards. Lead the team by conducting weekly audits of service and medication books, managing household budgets including petty cash, and coordinating medical services with delegating nurses. Maintain safety and fiscal responsibility by overseeing vehicle maintenance, conducting fire drills, monitoring medication administration, and submitting accurate incident reports and activity calendars. Transport residents to medical appointments and coordinate leisure activities while maintaining professional standards and regular attendance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Two years of experience working with persons who have a developmental disability in a group residence
- Experience in a management or supervisory position
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited school in a human services field
