Job Summary
Coordinate family logistics including daily pick-ups/drop-offs, school lunch preparation, and light supervision with occasional overnight coverage. Manage household operations by planning meals three nights weekly, overseeing laundry, maintaining organization systems, and coordinating vendor services for cleaners and contractors. Handle administrative duties such as budget tracking, travel planning, and managing household supplies while ensuring a safe, smoke-free environment. This steady, proactive partner supports a busy parent and tween in Winston-Salem, NC, fostering a warm, dependable dynamic within the family team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation
- Comfortable around dogs
- Must be able to maintain a smoke-free environment
- Must be able to engage in kid-related tasks, pick ups/drop offs, and some direct childcare, including occasional overnights
- Must be able to know how to build trust with a young person, engage with their interests, and offer gentle redirection when transitions get tricky
- Must be able to lead with kindness and always remain composed, even when they are testing boundaries
- Must be able to be flexible, a positive role model, and unfazed by the occasional unpredictability that comes with a full household
- Must be able to support so the home runs smoothly in the background, even on the busiest weeks
- Must be able to be excited about meal prep, daily tidying, and taking on some responsibility with childcare
- Must be able to pick-ups/drop-offs as needed
- Must be able to provide light supervision and backup childcare (including occasional overnights)
- Must be able to unpack and prep backpacks/clothing/snacks

- Must be able to plan and prep dinners approximately 3 nights per week (chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, having ingredients ready)
- Must be able to plan and prep school lunches daily
- Must be able to prepare healthy snacks
- Must be able to do grocery shopping
- Must be able to follow dietary needs/preferences
- Must be able to do kitchen cleanup and maintenance
- Must be able to spot-treat stains before washing
- Must be able to wash, fold, and put away family laundry, including linens and towels
- Must be able to ironing, steaming, and special garment care as needed
- Must be able to maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area
- Must be able to contribute to running household supply lists
- Must be able to restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
- Must be able to assist with management of household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
- Must be able to do returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and other errands as needed
- Must be able to do mail and package handling including breaking down boxes
- Must be able to do travel planning and logistics
- Must be able to be aware of the family calendar
- Must be able to do event and appointment coordination
- Must be able to do receipt and budget tracking for household expenses incurred in the role
- Must be able to do occasional deep cleans as needed (fridge, oven, baseboards)
- Must be able to do organizational projects as they arise
- Must be able to refresh garage/mudroom/entry
- Must be able to oversee cleaners/contractors/landscapers
- Must be able to do seasonal property maintenance
- Must be able to manage outdoor spaces
- Must be able to schedule/take vehicle in for maintenance as needed
- Must be able to fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicle as needed
