Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of assigned group homes, including supervising traditional DD/IDD programs and behavioral staff in certified Adult Family Homes. Develop, maintain, and review Individual Service Plans, Behavior Support Plans, or Individualized Program Plans. Partner with families, case managers, and other stakeholders on a regular basis while managing household and individual budgets. Provide thorough on-site orientation to new staff, directly train employees in program implementation, and conduct ongoing coaching and development. Complete employee evaluations, conduct investigations, and initiate disciplinary actions or terminations as needed. Schedule and lead team meetings while developing and implementing employee schedules. This role requires daily on-site presence in Janesville, WI, with typical Monday through Friday hours and an on-call rotation including weekends and odd hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or related field
- A minimum of 2 years managerial/supervisory experience, including hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees
- At least 1 year of full-time, direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities
- Experience with mental health
- A successful background clearance
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with auto insurance
- Good decision-making, time management and communication skills
- Responsible, mature, and flexible
- Previous experience supervising staff and working with adults with disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as with those requiring crisis management and behavioral interventions
- Ability to be on-call during the on-call rotation (this includes weekends and odd hours)
- This position is located in Janesville, WI and requires daily on-site presence
- This position is in-office
- Monday through Friday, full-time
