Job Summary
Supervise daily operations of a residential home for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and Agency standards. Manage direct care staff, including Lead Staff and Direct Support Professionals, while overseeing disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Coordinate household budgets, manage petty cash, and handle fiscal responsibilities for individual funds. Monitor medication administration, maintain accurate incident and seizure reports, and ensure safety protocols like fire drills and vehicle maintenance are executed. Transport residents to medical appointments and activities, communicate with families and external personnel, and facilitate staff training and development. Maintain program files, attend monthly house meetings, and respond to emergencies per Agency policy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Two years of experience working with persons who have a developmental disability in a group residence
- Experience in a management or supervisory position
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited school in a human services field
