Job Summary
House Manager responsible for the safety and security of residents and the building across Elliott, Franklin, and Kola Houses; handles crises including medical and mental health crises while maintaining a positive, professional image; enforces resident rules, conducts rounds, monitors security cameras, reports incidents, responds to emergencies (fire, severe weather, first aid), conducts searches for contraband, monitors medications, assists move-outs, coordinates with staff and external agencies, completes work orders, and supports staff meetings; requires intermediate computer skills (data entry, Word, Excel), and includes transportation of clients and on-call shift scheduling; adherence to organizational policies and procedures; preferred experience in harm reduction and housing programs; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of coursework in health or human services–related field leading to a Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree
- One (1) year of experience working with the target population served
- Certification as a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Peer Specialist
- Meets requirements for unlicensed personnel in licensed home care settings
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle used
- Completion of Vulnerable Adult Mandated Reporter training (or ability to obtain)
- Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study
- Must be able to pass a Minnesota driver’s records check
- Demonstrates reliability and dependability
- Ability to work within the mission and philosophy of American Indian Community Development Corporation
