Job Summary
Monitor the therapeutic environment and facility to ensure behavioral guidelines, safety protocols, and cleanliness are followed. Manage the daily program schedule, dispatch vehicles, distribute carfare, and coordinate client external appointments while ensuring safe, on-time returns. Conduct mandated fire drills, facility safety runs, and physical searches of clients and personal property using metal detectors as needed. Administer breathalyzer tests, observe urine or oral specimens, and manage medication adherence through direct observation. In the absence of Food Service Staff, monitor kitchen operations to ensure Board of Health compliance. Maintain strict adherence to 42 CFR and HIPAA regulations. Achieve FDNY certification within 90 days of hire and obtain CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Within 90 days from the date of hire, must achieve FDNY certification as one of the following: (1) Fire Drill Conductor, (2) Fire Guard, or (3) Fire Safety Coordinator for Downstate Residential locations.
- Willingness to obtain CPR certification within 90 days from the date of hire.
- High School diploma or Equivalent.
- Some work experience either paid employment or internship or expressed interest in working with substance use or mental health population or lived experience.
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
