Job Summary
Clean assigned guest rooms, replenish amenities, and stock the housekeeping cart while maintaining company standards. Greet guests in hallways and public areas, answer inquiries about hotel amenities and local attractions, and fulfill special requests. Report maintenance issues immediately, store and retrieve luggage, and deliver newspapers, messages, and packages as needed. Resolve guest complaints and compliments professionally while communicating with all departments regarding VIPs and special needs. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of property events, outlets, and local area attractions. Work a varied schedule including early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning evening night and weekend shifts
- Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning evening night and weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift push and pull a moderate weight frequently
- Ability to move perform frequent and repetitive movements including bending and stooping
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks and work in confined spaces
- Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
Desired Qualifications
- experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Positive friendly and upbeat with the ability to deliver service authentically and looking to make a career in hospitality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail speed and accuracy
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
